Install Windows 7


Another exicing release from Microsoft. Windows 7 is latest release from Microsoft Windows series. Windows 7 is came with new stunning and user friendly features.

Install Windows 7

Before installing Windows 7; take a look to the following system requirements.
  1. 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor.
  2. 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit).
  3. 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit).
  4. DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver.
You may download the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor for a more detailed understanding of whether your PC can run Windows 7 or not.
Put Windows 7 DVD from the case and put it into DVD ROM Drive, set your BIOS option to boot from DVD. (How to set BIOS to boot from DVD). Without a previously installed operating system; the installation will be started by booting from the Windows 7 DVD.
First screen, asking to press any key to start Windows 7 setup.
Check BIOS settings if this screen doesn't appear.
As long as you press any key in given time you will see another screen saying "Windows is loading files...", wait for few moments and you'll see a screen showing Windows logo.
You can change your LanguageTime and Currency and Keyboard or Input Methodfrom here. Click "Next" to proceed.
Window popped up with big "Install now", go ahead and click it. When you click Install now button you will be informed with a window "Setup is starting..." notification. Appearance of Next Window depends on your Windows 7 Media, most DVDs are tied to a specific version, and you are taken directly to thelicense terms screen, otherwise you will see this Window.
Don't be silly as this screen is, click "Custom (advanced)", i called this screen silly :) .. because of "Upgrade" button to be appeared unsuitably, of course Microsoft has such great and high qualified engineers but still, some times, these engineers working something funny, one of example is currently in front of you!
The list of available drives. Select the drive where you wish to install Windows 7, in this case, I only have the one drive available.
Now wait for several minutes installation to be finished. Your computer may be restart one or two times or more than two.
At last you will see a splash screen "Setup is preparing your computer for first use" then "Setup is checking video performance ..." and finally window appeared for some input to continue.
Type user name you want to use on the system.
Password for your account (optional).
Well known Product or Licence Key screen, enter your Product key in the given boxes.
Turn on Windows update .... its up to you; i suggest you to do it later.
Set date and time.
Next steps are depending on you, simple ABC will take you to the end of the journey ..... Blushy Windows screen will welcome you and take you to the typical Windows Desktop :)
