Remove Windows XP Messenger

You can uninstall or disable Windows Messenger in Windows XP by following two methods

• Download the file (change extension from .txt to .vbs) and run it, Windows Messenger will automatically uninstall/disable; remember to close Windows Messenger before executing vbs file.
• If you are guru and going to uninstall the messenger manually, follow the following steps;
1. Open Run box by pressin Window Key on keyboard R or Start Menu » Run
2. Enter "regedit" and press enter
3. Browser registry for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express
4. Make New Dword value on right pane. Name it HideMessenger and give it "2" as value.

Removing Windows Messenger will increase your Out Look and Startup speed.
